M+ M Colossal Cookie Recipe

Soft M&M cookie recipe

Ever since I can remember, my favorite item from the Great American Cookie Company has always been their giant M&M colossal cookies. Every time I go to the store I feel obligated to get one! In fact if I go to a gathering and see any M&M cookies on a tray, I have to try them. Perhaps it’s nostalgic for me because I grew up with M&M’s as my favorite treat and one of my favorite cookies, so needless to say I am a sucker for a colorful cookie.

I had a leftover bag of M&M’s from the movie theater and decided to turn them into cookies. Well, let’s just say that I stumbled on what tasted like one of the best cookies I’ve ever made! So of course I will share them with you because I think that everyone needs this goodness in their life. They are easy to make and your children will LOVE them! But beware, they are super addictive!

M&M COLOSSAL COOKIE RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar

  • 2 Large Eggs

  • One stick of salted butter, softened

  • 2.5 cups flour

  • Sprinkle of Salt

  • 1 heaping teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1.5 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

  • M&M’s

  1. Preheat the oven to 350* and toss your brown sugar and one stick of softened butter into the mixer. Mix until creamy, then add in your 1.5 teaspoon of vanilla extract and two eggs. After mixing, you should have a beautiful, creamy base for your cookie.

  2. Add in 2.5 cups of flour, a sprinkle of salt and your baking soda. Mix until fluffy and until you have a soft dough consistency.

  3. Pour your M&M’s in a bowl and scoop up large portions of dough into a ball, then rub the face of the cookie around in the M&M’s to have them coat the top. Add in any candies as needed to fill in spaces or have a variety of colors. You want your dough ball to be wide and much larger than a traditional cookie you’d make.

  4. Place dough ball, candy side up, on a baking stone and bake for 12-14 minutes until cookie is golden. Pull out of oven and leave cookie to cool and harden before using a large spatula to remove cookie.

  5. Eat the heck out of those things because they are SO good!

I hope you and your family enjoy these tasty treats!
