The Great Cloth Diaper Change

Today I am participating in a fun, green mama event. Actually, you don't have to be a green mama to participate in it today, you just have to be a cloth diaper mama!

You may have heard of the

Great Cloth Diaper Change

or you may not have. I actually didn't pay much attention to it until the past couple of days ago, even though I kept seeing things about it here and there.

So what is

GCDC

? It is basically a get together that happens all over the world between cloth diaper mamas. It's like one giant party for cloth babies and dedicated poop washin' mamas. On April 26, 2014 at 11am (your time), everyone changes a cloth diaper as a fun representation of all the good that cloth diapers can do. We're showing just how easy and manageable (and fun) cloth diapers really are.

Last year over 15 countries participated with 182 qualifying locations bringing in 8,301 cloth diapers changed at once. This number goes into the Guinness world book of records and each year I personally hope it continues to break the previous years record.

You can also find a location near you!

This is really for me, a fun time to meet and mingle with other mamas who have similar interests as me. It's a day to hang out with my two best friends and relish in the cute fluff that we all have come to love and know. It's a day for our babies to play outside and meet other babies. I owe a huge shout out to my friend Jess at

Sparkles and Crafts

for introducing me to cloth and for helping me find my place in this fun, fluffy world! This girl is pretty awesome and is one person I'd LOVE to meet. Make sure to check her blog out!
