Happy World Breastfeeding Week

Nurse on Mamas.

You are doing and have done a great job.

Here's to breaking the barriers and celebrating God's gift.

Here's to nursing our babies when they need it.

Here's to feeding our children as they wish to be fed.

Here's to having the courage to use our breast for the reason in which they were intended.

No, breastfeeding isn't and shouldn't be a "look at me" situation.

No, breastfeeding isn't and shouldn't be about who is brave enough to do it in public.

And no, breastfeeding isn't about making sure that everyone knows you're breastfeeding at that second.

Breastfeeding is a natural, God given gift.

It's our right as mothers and it's our innocent baby's right to eat as they need.

It's our right as mothers to nurse our children in times of comfort, hunger and need.

It's our right to not cover up if our baby doesn't like it.

It's our right to ask for a place to nurse or even to nurse right there.

It's our right to be a woman and most importantly, a mother.

Breastfeeding is a beautiful and emotional journey.

Whether you pump, whether you nurse, or whether you tried and no longer do...

Your gift of mother's milk has given your child a wonderful start at life.

Be proud of your hard work and of the power of your body.

Cherish the snuggles and moments together.

It's an experience for each mother that will never be forgotten and

it's a gift for each child that can never be topped.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week to you and your past and present nurslings.

xoxo.
