My Postpartum Essentials in Our Mollie Ollie Caddy

Postpartum Essentials

There are so many tips and tricks to surviving postpartum, but today I am going to share one tip with you that I think is really a fun and easy tip to be well prepared for your new little bebe.

One thing that I have done for my last couple of babies that has helped tremendously is to have a well stocked and organized basket or caddy nearby for our postpartum period. I find that by having this setup I don’t have to get up as much or request my husband to go digging for something that he may not know exactly where it’s at (ya know, men). A good, organized caddy will be so helpful to any and all mamas to have on hand. It’s definitely a must have for mothers recovering from a surgical birth or who may find themselves in a position where they can’t be as mobile as they had planned to be.

So what do I have organized for this postpartum period? Well, first off let me share our adorable Mimmo Caddy from Mollie Ollie. This caddy has long been a favorite of mine as we have one stocked in our car with car toys, spare undies and socks, pjs, car DVDs and more. It was the prefect buddy for our vacation that you can read about here.

But this time, I am so excited to have a Mimmo Caddy for our new baby to keep me organized, well stocked and ready to rest and recover with all of my essentials nearby no matter where I am.

Essential Oils for postpartum

So for our new little baby’s arrival, I have our caddy all ready to go and packed up waiting for the baby. Below you can find some of my essentials and favorites in it!

For baby:

  • An extra onesie, sleeper, mittens and socks (We love our onesie from Little One Shop)

  • Pampers pure diapers, wipes and a changing pad (we cloth diaper but use pure diapers for the first few weeks)

  • Lotion and a nose bulb (have you tried Seedlings baby lotion? Best scent ever!)

  • Young Living’s Kidscents oils for gas, calming and colic (Tummygize, Seedlings Calm and Gentle Baby along with carrier oil for dilution) Learn about oils + babies here

  • Spare swaddle blanket and burp cloth

For myself:

  • Granola bars, Young Living energy drinks and electrolytes drops for my water

  • Spare breast pads and breast soothies for sore nipples (I use a mixture of washable and disposable nursing pads)

  • Nipple cream

  • Oils for myself during recovery — Progesterone Plus, Frankincense, Transformation, Gentle Baby and Valor. For more about essential oils during postpartum use, check out this post here.

Essential oils are key to my postpartum recovery along with good supplements and nutritious support. If you’re interested in learning more about essential oils or essential oil infused products, then check us out here to learn more about our health community?

What would be in your caddy for postpartum use? This caddy can also be used for toting around pumping supplies, bottles and more. Bring it in the bedroom, leave it in the living room and so on. I intend to use our caddy for quite some time as we come home and adjust to live as a family of six!
